The Direct Banking department of BACOB bank needed to maintain and develop many mission critical banking products: phone banking, internet banking, ATMs...
They wanted to use Object Oriented development techniques to deliver new products faster and to respond faster to changes. Moreover, they needed to integrate many platforms and systems. All of this had to be done to the highest standards of quality, performance and security.
They told us they needed to introduce these new techniques gradually, while building and maintaining their applications.
We worked with the teams to specify, design and build these components, frameworks and systems. We gradually transfered the knowledge and techniques by mentoring and coaching the team members.
These applications have all been put into production use successfully and are serving customers every day. The teams are now maintaining, extending and building systems using their new skills. They have been able to reuse more code, to react faster to changes and to integrate the different systems more easily.
